I am so tired of the rain rain rain rain....I hope the three day weekend is halfway decent. How is the weather looking for north central oregon? Or the coast? I live just north of Shelton Wa. in Grapeview, and it has rained day in and day out. Can anybody 'whine' with me, please! Lol!! Still took some pics though.<> This guy has a 16-35mm 2.8 II for 975.00, brand new. Seems like a good deal? I have the older one, should buy this one and sell mine, eh? <>Rambling on is all.....hope we all have a good three day weekend. Maybe i'll see some of you somewhere out there.<> Off to work....graveyard shift. Cliff

I think I'd strongly consider that deal!
This is a great bird shot - what an expression!

Boy, that photo says it all!! I love this one Cliff. Even without your tale of rain woe, this one puts a strong comment on the wet we've had this season. I'd recommend a tighter crop to really emphasize the "Gimme a break!" expression the eagle has.

His expression says it all. Great shot.

great shot, and I'll second the whining. I've got myself a 4 day weekend and plan to shoot every minute of it. Looks like favorable conditions finally!

Nice shot, great expression. Looks like he was thinking you might be dinner.
Having moved here from a desert climate, I'm still enjoying the rain, but wouldn't complain if we got a short break.

I got a four dayer too. Get off friday morning and will hit the road with my boy who turns 13 on sunday and wont have to be back to work till tuesday night, oh yea! The eagle was an easy shot, he was on the post and i was shooting out the window of my car. Lol! I cropped it pretty good though, prints nice as a 11x14. I think i'll check the weather around Mitchell Oregon and head there if its going to be decent. Anyway, off to bed....

Great Northwest shot. Looks great with the rain. Love the way his talons are nearly vertical hanging on to that post. I'll be passing through Mitchell on Friday myself, just got some new gear that I want to try out, perhaps we'll bump into each other.

A soggy Eagle says it all about our weather this winter except up here in Snoqualmie it's been more about SNOW than mere rain. The pass has 30 FOOT SNOW DRIFTS!!! When the pass closes we load up our roads with truckers waiting out the pass closures...
I too REALLY like this image!! And I agree it needs a bit more of a crop to finish it off.
Nancy & I are talking about going to Ridgefield NWR Saturday/Sunday. I have to work Friday night (and am the backup on call too this weekend but that Sprint Air Card we bought will allow me to resuscitate a server from almost anywhere we have Sprint cell phone reception) so we won't get an early start Saturday morning. But boy do I NEED to put some light through my new camera!!!

Love this shot - that bird's expression is saying a whole story !
Oh, yeah, I'll pipe up and whine right along with you! What a tough winter of gray and wet, gray and wet... gray and white and cold and wet…
This is great shot! I feel great empathy for that bird. It looks soppy and mopey and downright disgusted! I mean, look how it's clinging to its perch. Even that looks desperate and pathetic.
A good weekend to all, hopefully with a peek at the sun.
