Well, it's time to start scouting for a good location for the next total lunar eclipse on Feb. 20th. The weather forcast here calls for snow showers during the day and partly cloudy skies during the evening. :jump: Of course, that could change significantly over the next 8 days, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Bill, have you thought about White Rock Mountain? According to my moon software the rise that day will be at 5:52pm at 76 degrees. There is an overlook on the northeast side of the rim trail that may work for the rise. Moonset will be at 6:42 am at 287 degrees and the main overlook should work for this. You could camp there and get the rise and set of the full moon!

That sounds like a great idea, Tom! I should have mentioned that the total eclipse will last from 9:00 until 9:51 near my house. Here's a good link to find out the details about the eclipse from any location.
