Peregrine falcon
One from today a record shot really as I was just seeing how good the image quality is with the 800 & 1.4 converter autofocus works very well I just need a bit more practice most important thing seems to be getting the tripod at the right height.

Phillip.

D300 sigma 800 + 1.4tc 1/400@f10 iso800

PP in Bibble pro & CS2.

If the full size file looks as good as the low rez image then I think you can safely say that the 800 + tc does work. Well done on getting the shot using that combo!

Hi Phillip,

I guess these guys will be putting on a stunning display of acrobatics anytime now? Would be great if you could manage to get them during their display flights.

A lovely shot of a stunning and very misunderstood bird IMO.

Nice work

Great capture and beautiful detail. Just got the 800mm lens myself and am very impressed.

Great, I love raptors and have been unsuccessful to date getting any good shots. Saw one fly over Arundel WWT on Sunday but way too far away to photograph.

Well done I am very jealous :toast:
