Sunset from White Rock Mountain

It has been a while since I have been to White Rock. The last few days we had great sunsets, so I decided to venture out Sunday and see what the sunset would look like from the overlook at White Rock Mountain. This was taken about 30 minutes after sunset.

Gorgeous moon, sky and sunset! Beautiful colors! There is a lot of black, though - you'll run through the photo black inks with this print.

That's really a nice sunset, Tom. Like Tim said, those are some beautiful colors and I like the shape of the tree branches too. Looks like it was well worth the trip!

Tom, I love the upper half of this shot! The total black on the bottom doesn't do much for me. Looks like a great place for some spectacular sunsets.

I love the color and detail in the top, but I have to echo the black area being too prominent. A little crop would do a lot for this one. Great job.

The rework is very nice! I've enjoyed some wonderfully peaceful sunsets at White Rock in the last few years.

Tom, I'll vote for the reworked image to. There are some nice elements to look at here with the muted color to the clouds the silhouette of the tree and the moon. Nice work with this one!

Very nice image. Great job capturing the gradients in the sky. I agree that the cropping of the bottom helped this out. The tree is a very nice touch and perfectly placed for my liking.

Beautiful shot. I, also, like the cropped image over the other. I like the effect of the lower black portion blending into the tree and sunset and then going almost black again at the top. Don't know if that makes sense - but it sure sounded good when I typed it.
