Seems like there will be some disappointed large format shooters. Fuji still has some instant films available. Perhaps they'll be able to fill the need.

I knew the end was near when Walmart took all their products off their film plan-a-gram last summer. Just a few years ago Walmart had a 20 foot set of film. Today is it a 4 ft. set, dominated by disposable cameras.
We've been using Fuji for the last five years to feed our ID photo sideline- passports, green cards, etc. There's a whole "industry" providing the service nationwide, and it would really raise hell if Fuji stopped too. INS is really specific about the photos and the materials used, and polaroid/fuji have been the easiest solution. As tough as it was to get a passport last year, imagine what it would be like if no "approved" photos were available!

The Instant Camera gives way to the Instantaneous Camera.
It will be interesting to watch INS and others requiring "official" photos if the technology disappears altogether. For some reason they don't seem to trust digital renderings!
