I shot this yesterday (Wednesday the warmest February Day on record). I enjoyed a day at Gansey Bay shooting various feathered species (12 different kinds – no gulls) with just a T-Shirt on (makes such a change from force gale winds at minus something wind chill factor).
With over 1200 images taken it’ll take sometime to wade through. I shot this mid afternoon and as always he just wouldn’t keep still (a fair few images have flies in them (but have come out as little black spots, so unless known as their food source, people may just think I’ve got a dirty sensor).
I didn’t use any form of a hide (just crouched low and lay there quietly waiting).

I'm not keen on the brownish cast to the 2nd one. The 1st one looks much better to me but perhaps needs a little more sharpening.

Hi Paul, I only missed a ew days and lok how far behind I am. I like the colours in the first one best, but the two reposts look sharper. It looks as though you have warmed up the colour temp a bit, sometimes I feel that B&W subjects can stand a lower level to retain that shades of grey feeling. Just my opinion of course. Eric
