To all, I respectfully request that if you plan on attending the Spring gathering of the CSNP group of photographers that you indicate your intentions in this thread asap. I was contacted by the owner of the Autumn Breeze cabin (where we stayed last year) and he said everything else is booked up.
The dates for the event are April 25, 26, 27 (friday - sunday). I need to know who's coming and who can't so we can decide if there is enough interest to make it worth reserving the cabin.
Rod Kissinger has also offered the use of his cabin (very generously I might add) which can be seen here http://bluffspring.com/galleries/LCITW/Cabinnov07/index.htm. Thank you for the offer Rod, we'll see what the group prefers.
Please let me know asap. Thanks! Wayne

OK Wayne, since you wanted nos as well, I can't - got three-day workshops all booked up eight weekends in a row including that one. I will be thinking about you guys though - that is a perfect weekend to be in the Buffalo area (come to think of it, every weekend is, but this one will be special I bet)...

Have a fun gather. I won't be able to make it.

It's hard for me to say this far out. For Autumn Breeze cabin reservation purposes, I would say not, especially since Rod has been kind enough to offer the use of his cabin. My suggestion would be to forget about Autumn Breeze and plan on staying at Rod's place, since there already appears to be enough interest (Wayne, David, Merle, John, Bruce, and Rod) to stay somewhere. If I am able to make it, I'll throw up a tent, or find a place on the porch at Rod's if that's the way the group decides to go.

One of these times I would like to make it to a gathering and I though that it might be this time becaouse I will be in the Beaver Lake area near that time. At that time however, I will be in Prague. Now if anyone wants to meet me there for a weekend, that would be fun.

Wayne, put me down for a yes. I am looking forward to it.

I'm new here (in fact this will be my first post), but I would love to come if you'll have me.
I try to travel up to the Ozarks a couple of times a year, ever since I took a couple of Tim's workshops, but it's usually by myself. I think I would enjoy the group experience for a change.
At this point, I'd have to say no, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hi Wayne,
I've got an family commitment that weekend, so count me as a 'no', but it sounds like you're going to be there at a perfect time and have a great trip!

February 19 Update: I spoke with Rod Kissinger last night and he has confirmed that we may stay at his cabin for our gathering. I pressed him on allowing us to contribute something to defray the cost of the cabin for our use but he declined. He did say that if we would coordinate the purchase and preparation of the food that would be enough.
Let me be the first to say thank you to Rod for this most generous offer!
Let the planning begin!!! Who's up for bringing food?

Good deal Wayne. Let me know what is needed and I will bring it. I can get a case of Charles Shaw ($3 Buck Chuck) merlot from Trader Joe's in St louis next time I'm there. Otherwise - just let me know...
Thank you Rod for the generous offer.

Thank you, Rod, for your generosity. And thank you Wayne for organizing.
I'm up for bringing food, though I'm a lousy cook! One thing I've thought of... I buy this pre-cooked smoked brisket at Sam's that's pretty darned good. You just pop it in the oven for a while to heat it up. I could bring baking potatoes and the fixin's too. And I can bring cokes and snacks.

Thanks John, I'm looking forward to meeting you. I will get a food sign up sheet thread posted soon and we will have people pick a meal until the weekend is covered. Should be a fun weekend!
Any more of you out there that want to attend ... we've got room. Come on down!

Wayne, you can add my name to the attending list. I am also not a cook but am willing to bring anything that is needed. I am looking forward to a fun weekend in the woods.

Hello Wayne, Hello All.
I have been a big fan of the NPN and specifically the CSNP for many months. I have found no place more helpful and positive in the pursuit of development of photography skills. With that I have just became a member, what better way of getting involved in this great group.
I would also like to let you know Wayne that I would very much like to join the spring outing in Arkansas April 25, 26, and 27. You had mentioned on your last post that there was still room; if by chance that has changed just let me know. Hey I even like to cook, and have been told by some I do a pretty good job of it. So maybe I can help keep our bellies full between shooting adventures!
Regardless, I just wanted to say hi to everyone and thanks for all the wonderful help and advice that is always available. I look forward to the involvement of this most helpful network.

Welcome aboard Brad. I have only been a member since last July and only met a few of the members of the board. However, they are all very generous and giving of their knowledge and are quite helpful with any questions. Looking forward to meeting you in April.
