Fantastic shot. Would like to see one taken earlier in the sequence with full wings and a bit of space around it.

Hello John

This is a cracking image one of the best I have seen posted on here. I just love the composition and the stare of the owl and the exposure is spot on well done Sir.

Top Notch John-Looked at these on your web site last night-I am guessing that they are baited as i have seen some similar on another site from that area

A real corker John, be nice to see some more. Near Manitoba, certainly east coast I guess? sSadly have not seen them on the West coast as I am heading off there next week for three weeks :frown:

Hi John,

Not to detract from a stunning image the reason I asked about baiting is that there has been quite a bit of contraversy concerning the baiting of these owls, and the way the bait was obtained etc...

As I said stunning, but the baiting practice of some Canadian photographers I find hard to condone...

All the best

Phil

Quite outstanding. All the right ingredients. An action shot of a beautiful creature. One of those occasions when everything falls into place.

Got to be one of the best so far this year.

I love the photo but any photo taken using a live mammal to bait it is in my mind reprehensible.

Excellent - I shall have to go to your web site and see the rest....

Awesome photo John. All my blue tit shots are baited too and nobody seems to mind, so I assume that we are talking livebait here?
Whatever, still a b****y fantastic shot.
