Not for critique but may be of interest to any Oly-E system users

E-3 and 50-200 swd, from this morning, orf converted to dng and converted in PS2 (am awaiting license details for Oly Studio 2), no exposure adjustments, no sharpening, just the plain vanilla camera output and resized to web, next post will be a 100% crop again no sharpening or noise reduction.

ISO 200, F3.5 and at 200mm setting, on tripod, IS off

Hard to test bokah to get the "lines" issue of the older verson, but this seems smooth enough on the OOF twigs UR

100% crop, straight conversion no adjustments at all. Shadow noise is a bit of a let down for the pixel peepers :frown:

but prints OK at A3

CA handling on the steel reflection seems good

Hi Mike,

It looks as good as the old 50-200 to me which I suppose it should as the MTF curves for the two lenses are to all intent and purpose identical. I think the improved bokeh will come mostly from the re-designed aperture blades.

Hmm, looks a little like some of the reports are correct of "mushy shadow/under exposed areas". I'm guessing this is without sharpening?
