How do you know when it's been too long since you've taken any pictures? When you get home from a delightful morning shoot and can't find your card reader, forcing you to download your images straight from the camera! Sloooooooooooow...
The cloud deck was a bit scrappy this morning. I probably put 12 miles on my truck just by canvassing a two-mile stretch of Rampart Range Road. The fog never did push deep into the foothills, but every once in a while it would push far enough to include Pikes Peak in the frame. Then it would settle back into the lower valleys and send me back down the road looking for that edge. I might post something from that later, but thought I'd post a few from where the action actually was taking place. But for starters, here's Pikes in twilight blue, almost half an hour before the sun came up.

And again...
If you want to see more, check back later. If I can muster the energy, I'll post a few more in this thread.

Really digging the 2nd and last one, Todd. Looks like the cloud Gods once again smiled upon you.

Gotta tell ya, I'm jealous. I knew it was going to be like this, but for personal reasons couldn't get out this morning.
And you're gonna get another chance for fog tomorrow (Sat) morning. Its already getting foggy in Rockrimmon. What's worse, is that I can't shoot tomorrow morning either. I'll be driving to Santa Fe for a much needed weekend getaway.

Oh, these images were dancing in my head all way to work this morning! Nice Todd! I will likely be up the range tomorrow morning myself. I finally hit pay-dirt too! I licensed eight of my images to a client as a nonexclusive - one time use, stock deal... Yipppeeeee!

Talk about being jealous! I like them all but #4 is my fave. I like the presentation of layers....

Here's one of the aforementioned Pikes Peak shots.

And here's one I'll call "Envy." I thought I was well above and beyond any houses, but this one's new since I was up here last.
Pssst, Mel! There are worse reasons to miss shooting a Colorado sunrise than driving to Santa Fe.

I really like # 4 and # 6 and the first one of your most recent two.
I didn't get home until late last night so I wasn't able to go out,..... of course I haven't been able to get out for photos in a couple of months actually, and BOY AM I GOING NUTS

Todd...Sweet!

Love those layered cloud shots. I like that second GOG shot as well. The blue sky in the first shot seems a little to "electric" for me. Just seems a bit unnatural. Overall, some really cool images. Looks like it was a fun morning.

I lost count, but the 2nd to the last one really is sweet!

AWESOME! The second one in particular is great, and the fourth.

I really think the tree and the peak is the best one, as always great stuff from you Todd.
