Been Lurking
The forum looks great. Kudo's to all involved.

I hope all of you are getting through the winter OK. It's pretty funny out here when they delay school openings 2 hrs when there are icy roads or just a dusting of snow ( where i am living) However an hr away its a totally different story. MT Hood, which is literally 1 hr from me has about 450" of snow on it. We are n a break in the precip and the rain should start up again on Tuesday. Until then its going to be in the 60's and sunny.
Having said that, and having lived on the east wast and Midwest, there's nothing like spring in the Midwest. There's a great smell in the air and the rebirth of nature is 2nd to none. I know you all will be posting some great images.
here's a shot from last spring in the CVNP to remind you!
Regards,
Jack

Ah Jack.. What beauties.. I can't wait til Spring but probably won't see it til late April. It is helpful seeing your shots to remind me.. Another snow storm rolling in this weekend.. Snow is great, it's the cold that bugs me..

Jack, very nice shot of the bluebells.

I don't mind the snow or the cold. It's the wind, rain, dull/dreay light, and relatively little snow we get in this area (Youngstown) throughout the winter. At least, that's mostly what we've had the past several winters. I also don't like having to fly 2500 miles to get to my favorite area - the Pacific Northwest. I've never been there in early May to shoot the Columbia Gorge waterfalls and east side wildflowers, and it doesn't look like I will this year either. I will one of these years, however.

Great images, Jack! Looks like it's going to be a while before Spring arrives in West MI, so these images are really appreciated.
