Whoopers
Another shot from a dull (weather wise) day at Martin Mere. I was quite lucky to come away with anything as it really was miserable. It just goes to show that to get really great photos you need to wait for the light, as in Edwins earlier post of Whoopers (fabulous photo Edwin). However, when you travel a couple of hundred miles to somewhere new then you just have to take your chances.

Hi Robert,
Unlucky re the weather. I'd lose the top of this pic and let the eye just concentrate on the whoopers which are nice and sharp.

Hi Robert,

Nice in-flight shot! I agree with Tim re: crop off the top!

Thanks Robert :wavey: Indeed the light is very important and sometimes you have to wait several weeks or even months. But when you are at a new place you get what you can get. When you loose the top the image will look great. Some great action and lovely Swans. I know the weather in England is cloudy most of the time but you will get your chance. Hope to see more.

Very sharp for a miserable day. I agree with the cropping suggestions. Nice shot!

Looks like you did ok Robert inspite of the weather. Agree about the top half and its highlights. :toast:

I like the way that the swans lead your eye to the middle, each sharper than the last. Lop the top off and that is a fine shot. Without those highlights, you might be able to raise the levels a bit more as well. :toast: :toast: Eric
