The Apostle Island Ice Caves are now open from Meyers Beach. If you haven’t been to the ice caves it is well worth the trip. I would rate it as one of the best photographic experiences I’ve had.

This is a link to the NPS page that provides a phone number to call for current ice conditions. http://www.nps.gov/apis/mawikwe-caves-winter.htm

What an awesome place, Phil! Beautiful images of the ice caves..one of my favorite ones is the single piece of ice that so much reminds me of a sail.

Thanks for posting. Wish I lived closer. The images from your visit last year are great.
