Spent another couple of hours at Upton today. They have been cleaning up a few areas by cutting back some of the smaller trees, bushes and reeds on the main path to the hides.
This as made a great place to watch and see what's about.
I have been trying to get a half decent photo of these guys for a couple of weeks now and this new area had a few darting around.

Nice pose! The BG is a little busy mind! Like the sharp detail around the head (where it matters!) and the catchlight in it's eye! Nice one!

I have been struggling to get a picture that does these charming little birds justice so I know how hard it is. well done.
