Wanted a pic of deer with cold morning breath but no joy, quite like this one though.

Superb, I love that rim lighting! I'd just be happy with a picture of a deer - lol.

Nice picture Tim. I think I'd be tempted (at the risk of being certified by the bunny huggers) to eradicate his 'pistle'! A bit distracting, especially with the highlight immediately below it. It may be construed as manipulation but I don't think it really adds to the photo and at the same time I don't think removing it would really be distorting the 'truth' of the pic.

You will have to put it down sooner or later before its worn out,and a man of your money should buy her a matching one . Cheap skate. :toast:
Nicely rim lit and different.

Major.

Hi Robert,
I know what you mean, I did think about removing the highlight as it does draw the eye and you suggest further surgery, here we go an amended deer.

That works for me Tim, I hope you didn't mind the suggestion.

Gorgeous. Great treatment. Hang it on the wall.

Well, it goes to show how folk have different ideas Tim - for me the first post is the better one for the simple reason that the second is just plain wrong man

Like the 'against the light' key, the rim lighting and nice subdued colours :toast:

The BG lets it down a tad for me though as it's a bit too busy.

Fancy chopping his tackle off - TOM, fetch the bloomin' firing squad

When I read Robert's post, my immediate reaction was that it was a bad one. Now you have done it, I think he was right. Either way I have never seen a deer against a blue background before and it gives that cold early morning feel to the picture that you were after in the first place. Great shot.
