I've not been able to get out much recently but managed a brief excursion this afternoon in the fog. This is a bit of a snap shot but I quite liked the colours. The sun is shining through the smoke from burning heather giving it the fancy colours. The line isnt a grad line - it is a thick bank of fog in the distance.

If you've not already checked out this image by young Tom Perkins then please take a look - personally I think its one of the most powerful landscapes posted here in quite a while and yet few seem interested ....

This is absolutely gorgeous Tristan, even if the trees do look squint! Wouldn't change a thing.

Craking shot Tristan, pity the smoke more darker to add the extra atmosphere!! :toast:

Captures the mood of the last couple of days really well - the blend of colours in the sky works really well.

Hi Tristan,

Lovely shot. The foreground rocks really help lead the eye into the frame.

Agree with all that has been said. Well composed and well spotted.

Thank you for your helpful comments on my posts.

Very eerie quality to this Tristran - I can almost hear the silence, if that makes sense!!

Composition is a bit too '50/50' I think, though I realise that might have been all that was possible in order to get the sun approximately on the 3rds.

Haven't been out myself with the camera for ages either... :frown:
