Well, I'm back from four days backcountry skiing. It was great, wonderful, awesome and beautiful. I skied untracked, boot top powder with only 11 other guys (including guides) in a beautiful location.
Here's some skiing action.

Mark,
What an experience. I'm jealous to say the least. And BTW, nice shot.

You KNOW I would have been there if it was 11 girls! . Seriously though...I think you couldn't have picked a better weekend! I think you should trade these pics for a free ride next year! What was your elevation here? I'm guessing about 5k?

I believe the yurts were at 8k. Those peaks could easily be 11k the highest we got was probably 10k. The weather was great. The whole deal was great. We're planning it again for next year.

Awesome stuff Mark! It looks like Colorado powder.

I have wanted to explore that amazing country for a long time, either summer backpacking or a tely trip. Well, you beat me to it, Mark. Sure looks like great country and I'm sure you guys made some sweet turns. Now that you have been there, I'll bet you'll return with the serious photo gear in the summer (if you haven't already done so). BTW: Nice action shot; I know how difficult it is to get those.
