Hi Guys,
Allthough the name "common"-Teal does suspect otherwise Teal's are a big rarity in our country and hard to get close to.
I was lucky that the lake where this was shot was frozen and melting again a little bit so there was just a small layer of water on top of it giving me the chance to photograph this Teal up close and with a nice reflection.
Greetings,

Hi Jeroen,
Very, very nice. Love the reflection, colours and detail. Is this full frame?

Superlative shot, Jeroen, love it.
Do appear to be some compression artifacts noticeable around the head/beak unfortunately.

Fantastic shot Jeroen. As with Mallard, the fact they they are relatively common sometimes makes us a bit blase to just how beautiful they are... and when captured as good as this it really opens the eyes.
ps. what is ICE. I can't remeber the last time I saw any down here!

It's the cracking lighting on this one that makes those colours sing.

I think that is just brilliant. they might be common, but they are not easy to make a great picture with. Never seen a better teal shot. Eric
