This one got curious. I started taken images at some distance.
It must have heard the shutter as it came closer and closer.
Because of the distance I had been using a 1.7 conv.
By the time it came close I would have prefered to be using the 1.4 but there was no time to change.
D2X's 600mm AFS II + 1.7 conv.
1/1250 @ f7.1
ISO 320.
WB Direct Sunlight
Tone Comp Less contrast.
Saturation normal
Shapening None.

Fantastic shot Major. The background complements it perfectly, and it's not often you actually get them running towards you!

Awesome shot Major - I liked it before when you posted it last week with the clone error - top shot

I haven't seen may hare shots - but I'd be surprised to see any that are better than this.

Another remarkable shot Major - just outstanding. Eric
Brilliant photo of a fascinating animal. I really envy you having hares as a subject. We don't get them down here.

Hi Major,
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!

Outstanding Major Sir!!! I know you've been doing these wonderful characters for a while - the persistence and learning curve is really paying off. Its a cracker. I would be tempted to crop a little from the right, just to give the idea that there is more space for the hare to run into on the left.

Many thanks for all your comments everybody.
I know what you are saying Elliott, but the more I stare at it the more I think it will pass as it is. I did try to add some extra canvas on the left but decided against it in the finish.
The Hare is running in an arc so its almost going to finish up on the right hand side if you see what I mean. Either way its a nice dilema to have.
My main aim of course is to get that boxing Hare shot or even shots.
I have some but I need to get better ones if possible.
Major.

Fair enough... I saw loads of boxing last weekend. Managed a few, but they are quite distant. Will post later. The best viewing actually came on Tuesday when it was really foggy. I think the shroud gave them more confidence as they weren't even trying to hide... but no nice shots. Visibility for shots was about 10M or less!!!!
