Bearded Tit II
Taken in the same session as my last 'tit' image, This is more of a standard image than the last and my clearest image to date

Canon 1D3 500F4 1/1000@F7.1 -1/3

Like this one better Dave. They are extremly difficut to do within the enviroment that they live in., and getting a clear uncluttered view I would imagine you need a certain amount of luck on your side. I think you have got the bit between the teeth on this subject and know doubt in the future we will see such a shot. :toast:

Hi Dave,

Fine shot and good to see them in the clear. Could perhaps benefitted from some fill just to take the head out of the shade, but still very nice.

Hi Dave

Nice one. I spent a couple of hours trying to photograph these the other day so I appreciate just how good a shot this is.
I've been scratching my head trying to think of a way of getting them out in the open, but I think it's just going to be a matter of putting the hours in and hoping for a bit of luck. As usual!
Have noticed that they keep returning to the same reeds though, so at least I can have the camera pointing in the right direction, which is a start!

Super shot, just looks a bit like there might be an Oof reed in front of the face which is a shame. Judging by these last two shots, we may be seeing some more of these? I don't think I would be able to leave them alone if I had any nearby.

a lovely image, the bird peeping through the reeds is very effective.

They're a bird I would love to see let alone photograph.

Excellent shot. That eye contact is magic.

Beautiful bird, interesting and photogenic setting, and the combination of warm gold against the blue of the sky works superbly.

Hello Dave.

For me this is almost perfect and I love the setting, the in focus reeds work so well with background. I dont like picking a nit on this one as I really do like it but its just that one out of focus reed by the birds head. But this is just a nit as this is a cracking shot. :wavey:

A really tricky bird to photograph this - simply a question of putting in the hours and being ready when it all falls into place. Like this one a lot and good luck with the project.

Nice shot Dave. I remember you banging on about these ages ago - I can defiantly see the attraction! I think I prefer the other shot though - more intriguing. Still a cracker though :toast: :toast:
