Different take on the area displayed in the ess image. Positive/negative thoughts welcome. Thanks for looking.

Wow, 126 views and nobody has any input?
This angle didn't even cross my mind and I like the potential, but I think it lacks a certain level of punch because the layered hills aren't really separated a whole lot. If you can brighten up the background edges of each hill I think it'd be a much stronger image.

I've looked at this one three or four times now, Trevor and I can finally say that I'm not getting grabbed by it. I'm trying to figure it out, to get the feeling but, sadly, I'm not. You have great shapes and colors but I'm not feeling any flow or any real comp.
That's precisely what I was seeking, Mark: a candid opinion about the work. Thanks. I'm rather on the fence about this image and the other on ess, and hold a general disappointment in the crop of images I got from the recent trip. We didn't have any time to previsualize compositions; light was fading when we arrived. All my compositions were essentially rush jobs. I normally wouldn't post this, and should get into the habit of only posting only my elite work, but since it is a new image, there is a temporary connection to it that is succeeded after the next trip.

On my monitor the hills are too dark and Bryan's suggestion is worth a go, but I think I agree with what Mark is saying. For me there are lots of things in this photo that would be complimentary, but nothing really stands out or grabs enough to hold the photo on its own.
