Fieldfare
Was on my way to Mere Sands the other day and noticed a large flock of fieldfare basking in the sun, stopped the car and was sure they would fly off ... but now ...even stayed put when i got out the car which was added bonus!!

Nikon D2xs
Sigma 500mm
Resting on Farmers Fence
ISO 250
1.250th @ F8
RAW
10% Crop

Thanks for looking

Very nice - looks like a very low angle for resting on a fence

Normally very skittish - you were lucky and got a good shot as a reward.

Nice one you were lucky to have them stay put... would like more room at the bottom though, for the feet.

Excellent. Have seen these a lot on my travels, but they have all been very skittish - well done on getting a frame-filler! :toast: :toast:

It's a little tight in the frame but i like the alert pose and the way you have handled the difficult harsh light.
Well done!

Very nice, it always seems to be dull and overcast when I see them.
