Well ok, I feel a little silly attempting to post an image right after what I just had the privilege of seeing from Marc Adamus. Tremendous, especially after he said it involved a 30 mile backpack!
This involved driving about 3 miles to Shawnee Lake and getting out in the cold for awhile last month.
Anyway let me see if I got this down, or if I need to link to another site to display images.
Thanks

HI Brad,
You probably meant to post this in Man & Nature since this has lights from houses or some thing visible
Go to the top right hand corner of this screen and click on "All Photos" , from there if you are not logged in, log in, and then Click "Post a Photo" on the teal green bar at the top. From there you can post your image, but be sure to select the proper forum, for instance, Man & Nature since this image hand of man is visible in it.
Have fun posting!

Brad,
I think Lia explained it pretty well, but to expand a little... there are two basic types of forums here; discussion (general, dig imaging, hot topics, etc.) and photo critique Galleries (ES&S, Man & Nature, Flora, etc.) As far as where to post, technically because of the visible lights, it might be more appropriate in Man & Nature, or you could opt to clone out the lights and post in ES&S.
But don't sweat it, we're glad to have you.
Regarding the image - it's a beautiful sunset. I like the silhouetted trees and the reflection in the glassy water. The colors are intense - perhaps a bit too intense, but that's certainly an element that is subjective and depends on personal taste. Compositionally, I would have liked to have seen either more of the tree on the right, or none at all - it's kinda right in between.
Very nice first post and we look forward to seeing more images and look forward to your contributions.

Thanks Lia for the advice, yeah I think I got in a hurry and didn't think before posting. I appreciate pointing that out. Think I got it figured out about the proper forums for images, thank you.
Thanks for the comments Lon, it's always exciting to get feedback on images. Very helpful, thank you. And as always, it's good to be around good people.
