Spring is coming, I think........
I got a 40d a few weeks back and the first 2 weeks I had it the weather sucked (can I say that here?)so I ended up getting so desperate to use it that I got a few pics of a daffy that my wife had in the window. I'm back at work now so once we leave port I'll be out of reach for awhile. Going from LA to Ferndale via slow boat. This one is pretty hi key but I love the feeling of luminosity in it.

I'm so ready for spring, it sure feels like it's here... I can smell something flowery at least once a week when I come home at night, and I've seen a few buds showing up on some trees, bushes, etc... I still have a feeling we might see an early spring... seems to me the weather has been much nicer, much earlier this year...

Nice shot by the way

I think this warm weather we are having here now is going to cause another early spring. I was up at Rowena yesterday morning and the Grass Widow is already in bloom and there is another type of flower that is in bloom with big buds ready to burst.!!!

Great shot you have here!

If you're liking the weather, wait a few minutes; you'll hate it again!

I like this one. I agree that the luminosity makes this one work.

Darren, that other flower ready to burst into big red buds would be a rare flower called Columbia Desert Parsley, which only grows in a small band along the Columbia River Gorge. It's one of my favorite flowers and blooms beautifully in March.

Saw my first Narcissus tip (barely) poking through the ground in Cashmere this weekend). You guys are always weeks ahead of us! I like your image; you nailed the focus on the anthers.
