Going through some old B&W conversions I've done over the last few years. I wasn't sure about this one at first, but everytime I come back to it, I like it a little better.
What do you think?
oh, and at least some of you should be able to guess what falls this is...

Curtis,
I'm not sure where this is. I do like it though. I was thinking how it would look if it was flopped(mirror imaged).
Ya Curtis, it's kind of cool. Could the initials be D C ?

I too like this one Curtis. Well done on the conversion to B&W and you nailed the shutter speed. The hot spot does distract a little, but that's my only nit.

Thanks guys. I tried various techniques to tone down that hot spot, but I couldn't get it to look quite right, so I decided to leave it alone. It's blown to the point that there is no detail to be had, so I think it's best just to let it be. I also tried cropping it out, but I didn't like the comp that way.
I was expecting comments about the bit of splash in the lower left corner, but maybe it's less distracting than I thought.
BTW: This is Sol Duc Falls.

Curtis: I have no idea where this is, but I think it is a near-classic image. I love the "loop" feeling I get from the little cascade that comes in from the rear of the major falls. The black rear wall positively shimmers!
