I was inspired by Todd Caudle to get out to the Sangre De Cristo range. These are dedicated to TC. I also owe him a fee for cloud usage.;) James E. met me up there with family in tow. I am sure he got some great shots also.

** Note: I had to clean up the moon in some of these shots because it was overexposed. So I underexposed (actually correctly exposed) it. I also adjusted its position slightly - more so for pano below.

Sweet images Derek! I like the 1st attachment ~ just the right amount of snow in the fg, moon over Sangres, and the last one from Friday a lot.

Beautiful images! I really like the pink light on the mountains.

These are all great, Derek! The pastels of the first one are beautious maximus. The first shot form Friday looks like the clouds are dancing.

Thanks Todd. I was hoping you would approve! The first one definately has the most color as the sky was brightest toward the north west. It looks much better in the larger version. Here is a better example:

And because the moon was kinda high I have been working on a pano with it moved down a bit:

Thanks again for the great tips and 'clouds.' It was a spectacular morning! :toast:

This is a great series Derek. I think the first shot from Friday is the pick of the litter. The third shot from Saturday is excellent too.

Thanks Mel,

It was nice to shoot something a little different from the Garden not too far from home. I think the Sangres offer many, many photo ops, some of which I have not even begun to explore.
