Indian Beach Kelp
I found this piece of kelp washed up on the beach while waiting for the sunset at Indian Beach with Hans Sager. I thought the color of the kelp contrasted nicely with black pebbles. Of course now that I’m home, I really wish I had splashed a handful of water on the rocks that starting to dry. Comments and critiques welcome.

I like how this turned out Dave. You're right about the rocks drying out. You should have brought your plastic pail and shovel with you--could have used it to get some water.

David: The comp isn't doing much for me, although the lighting/contrast is stunning.

I like the contrast but the kelp position is too snake like.

I think this is very nice. Comp and colors work very well in my opinion. Simple, yet stricking. I also actually like the pops of color from the drying rocks. If they were all wet it may have looked too contrived, this is more natural to me.
