Little Egret with Frog
40D, 400/2.8 + 2x, Beanbag + open car window.
ISO400, 1/1000 @ f10, +1/3EV comp.
C1 v4 + CS3 resize & sharpen.

Hi,

One from a series... found a group of 5-6 accommodating Little Egrets that allowed me many different images... Lighting was difficult here, and I have tried several different processes on it (variants in C1 v4 can be great), settled on this one for posting which is virtually as shot, white balance set to daylight from AWB, Levels on conversion and a slight crop to correct a wonky horizon.

All the best

Phil

Handsome image Phil - nicely exposed and a great comp :toast:

Almost looks like a white vignette - very romantic

Look forward to seeing the rest - stay safe mate :wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

Despite what the frog may be thinking, a very serene and calming image. nice exposure.

Very nice Phil. Nice behaviour. Light looks lovely and soft, so your conversion skills have paid off! Seen these around, but they always seem to be on the wrong side of the light too. :toast: :toast:

Really, really nice. I like the subtle colouring and the timing is spot on. Even the poor old frog is right with those legs showing.
