Last year I made a trip to Helgoland, where I took this picture of a gannet making its toilet on a cliff around sunset. The picture is taken with the Nikon D80 on a tripod with a Sigma 50-500 mm lens @ 320 mm, iso 400, F 8, 1/80 sec. ev - 0,3. Cropped from landscape to portrait.

Beautiful picture. It makes a pleasant change to see a Gannet photo with some foliage instead of just bare rock. Very nice pose and light.

Beautiful light and great pose. If I have to point to anything, I do find the Fg greenery a little bit distracting, but I would give my right arm for a shot like this. A great portrait.

Lovely pose and warm light! Might consider placing it a little bit off centered.
Well done!
