OT: Torres del Paine,Chile
I took this 3 weeks ago. I've only made a dent in the processing I have to do yet from my trip to South America and Antarctica. I will eventually add a good number of images to my website in a couple of months. This is a teaser of what is to come: Lago Pehoe (Lake Pehoe) with the Cuernos del Paine (Horns of Paine) in the background, at dawn, on a rare clear day. The lake and the river which forms the lakes in Torres del Paine NP are an unreal blue-green color resulting from glacial silt and a blue algae found in the waters.

I love the painterly feel and the pastels.....I'm envious of your trip - can't wait to see more.

Great shot Don. I'll also be excited to see more of this series. Its been on my list of places to see much longer than I've been interested in photography.

One of my favorite places! Very nice image. It looks a bit flat to me, though. I think a levels adjustment to lighten the highlest and an S-curve could make this image pop.

That's a stunning scene, Don! Must've been something to have been there, taking it all in. I'll echo Grant's suggestion of adjusting levels and curves to improve contrast.

Looking forward to seeing more!

I would love to visit this area one of these days. Those mountains are perfect examples on how glaciers carve mountains. I look at photos of them alot and makes me really wonder at the processes of nature
