My travel schedule is picking up , but I got up into So. Washington
(about 30 miles north or Portland) last Saturday AM. This was shot in the Ridgefield NWR. There were lots of herons, both blue & great, hawks, river otters, coyotes and even a few bald eagles. However, this images made me think of my mornings shooting in the fog in the Cuyahoga Natl Park. Some of you may relate to this more than others.
This images is not what I'd call a "killer shot" but
I just wanted to share a Midwestern image, from the Pacific NW.
I hope you are all making it through the winter!

Nikon D200, Nikon 28-70F2.8 1/15th at F11/ and a lot of luck with some good light at sunrise in the fog./ and of course a tripod.

Nice image, Jack. It does have a midwest feel and though it isn't killer it's very peaceful. It actually reminds me of a scene I use to see a lot when I was a kid.
Thanks for sharing

Hey, Jack, its not fair that you can still shoot midwestern landscapes in Washington, but we can't shoot mountains or the ocean. The least you can do is leave the rural landscape images to us.
Nice one Jack - I love the sweeping curves. The sky colors versus the water reflections don't seem to match on this monitor, but then I don't trust this monitor! Regardless, I like this one....
