Long-eared Owl-Asio otus
Hi Guys,

Went out to shoot some Long-eard Owls together with a friend and we where lucky as some of them where quite visible and in the sunlight. This is not always the case as the often stay within the shade of trees. This one gave me a nice stretch...

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

If I were you I'd consider myself fortunate to manage to get this shot Jeroen. These guys do not like to be out in the open and tend to hide themselves away. I have found a site where they can be located but have yet to get to take some shots.
Your image has motivated me to get into action and search these wonderful creatures out.
