same tree as previously seen in the Cader Idris Landscape, but on a misty wet day. I have tweaked levels to try and bring out the colour but may have gone too far. Would you prefer more detail in the shadows on the right hand tree trunk? is the foreground on the left too cluttered?

Hi John I like thee Tree! In the FG. left I do not care for the small branches and also the trunk. I would wonder in closer and move to the right as I see gorgeous coloured tree at the left. The point is I am not there but you are and I feel you would get a better picture. Hope that makes sense.

Hi John, the tree in the middle is fantastic, and definitely a good photographic subject. However, the framing of this is a little too cluttered from me, and the trunk on the right is overwhelming the rest of the landscape.
Cheers,
Dan.

I'd get a chainsaw and remove that conifer on the left to start, and then that tall one on the right and then maybe you'll have something. Nice tree.

Hi John,
I feel this is just way too cluttered for me but do think Tim's suggests are a little extreme. A couple of steps forward maybe all that is required!
This location certainly looks like it has massive potential!

Thanks for the comments, attached a chopped version, lost the pano and cloned out some of the offending foreground, but I still don't think it works that well. My original intention was to get some foreground material to frame the yellow tree but unfortunately it is a bit isolated and this was the best I could find at the time. I think more time spent here would have been worthwhile but we had a mountain to climb.
Thanks for the CC

Hi John,
For me, the repost is a vast improvement as it isn't so cluttered. The yellow tree is a little central, maybe next time you've there you could try a different angle.

not really qualified to comment on landscapes, but the repost looks great to me
The tree itself looks superb. The repost is a huge improvement on the original in my opinion. I'd suggest you explore as many compositional possibilities as you can at the time - get right up to it and also take shots from a distance etc. Tristan
