This is a photo from the Apostle Island Ice Caves taken last week. I didn’t think the caves were as dramatic as last year but there were still lots of photo opportunities. As with last year I seemed to pick one the coldest day to make the trip. It was 0 degrees but the sun was out and there was lots of fresh snow.
The NPS web site indicates that the caves are still open. There are a few more photos from this trip at Apostle Islands.

Fantastic images of the ice and caves, Phil! It must be an awesome place to visit even on cold days.

Those are some pretty cool looking formations, Philip. 0 degrees is ok with me, as long as there is snow, or at least clear skies to bring a heavy frost.
Wow - I love that! Did you take an image that focused even more tightly on the pillars and the ice covering the rock above them? This is very nice - wish I could get up there to shoot some of this!

This is one of the places that's on my "to-do" list and you're making me jealous! Good work, Phil!
