Hi folks,

In my usual morning news scanning I ran across this fascinating bit of news about adjusting focus "post capture":

Focus

Imagine the possibilities!!

You could double or triple process the file, then combine the sharp parts in PS. I do this already with multiple exposures, but using a single exposure might result in improved final image quality.

You can do this much more effectively with multiple exposures. There's no way any program is going to retain/restore enough resolution/information from an out of focus image to make it work for big prints. 4x6's, sure, but you would have to assume that information that was never there cannot be recovered from an OOF image. This would be great for your average Joe looking to make a good print from an focus mishap, however, or as the company states, fine tuning your plain of focus selectively post capture.

Cool stuff, but I agree with Marc.
