Just as Rob H had done today, I had an early day from work. Several pairs of Stonechats were posing well and although I couldnt resit a couple of "bird on stick" shots, I thought I'd have a go at getting some flying shots. I increased the iso to 800 and shot at 1600th @ f5.6
This shot is about 2/3rds of the frame but not as sharp as I would like. It was hard to predict what way they would go!
Great action/enviro shot Tony...........looks sharp to me and no noise, has it been ninja'd

Hi Barrie,
Very small amount of neat image applied mainly for the background sake, history brush then used on the bird

I'd be happy with one on the stick, on the ground, or indeed, anywhere - not seen one in years
Tony's suggestion is spot-on - nice one

Hi Tony,
This is what I was after, but after looking through the viewfinder waiting for so long, neck aching and eye's watering, all I managed were images with him going out of frame. So I take my hat off to you, as I know how bloomin difficult a shot like this is to get.
Nice work
Regards
Rob
