About to Freeze
I haven't posted a landscape for a while simply because I hadn't taken any until I went looking for Ptarmigan.

This is Loch Morlich near Aviemore (shot from nearly the roadside) taken at sunset after a day on the hill - it was a big decision whether or not to stop as Smiffys chippy was open and selling Haggis and chips . That night the whole loch froze over, you can see it starting to form.

I was going to title this "Two Stone's in Blue"

Its aimed firmly as an editorial title page.

Makes quite a pleasing, relaxing, minimalist composition in its own right, and, as you say, I can imagine it perhaps as a magazine cover.
Well done for passing on that junk food. No wonder the Scots are so unhealthy with the muck that passes for food up there!

Nice calming shot, good stuff Tom. Looks like you have had a busy few weeks?

Stunner Tom - lovely rich sky and certainly looks bloomin' cold :toast:

Is it me - or does it need a tad of CW rotation?

Nice shot Tom of a part of beautiful Scotland, just a pity you have a sharpening Halo round the the hill top. Regarding Jeremy's comment, Haggis and Chips washed down with a nice Malt is one of my favorite meals. I hope to meet Jeremy one day and he will see how Fit the Scots are. :toast:

Hi Tom,

Beautiful landscape shot – can see this on a front cover!

For me it’s Haggis and Guinness (the malt is for afters - at least 12 years).

A most attractive, tranquil scene with an almost dream-like quality to it. :toast:
