Great CU Paul :toast:

The blacks look to have a bit of a cast in them and the highlights are clipping - have you got a big spike on the right edge of the histogram on the raw file?

Tack sharp and great detail :wavey:

Nice profile - slightly blown out on the whites as Andy says but lovely sharp detail.

Hmm colour cast in the black? Hmm i dont see it, but the head is dark green?

There was little i could do about the clipped highlights, it was either that or no detail in the dark areas and noise, i took this a while before shooting the Goldeneye.

A very striking portrait set against a really attractive warm coloured backdrop.
Highlights look fine on my screen with Photoshop indicating they aren't clipped. I suspect the colour cast referred to is actually the ducks head colouring.
Nice head turn towards the camera and lots of detail in the feathers.
Lots of impact too with that vibrantly coloured beak. :toast:

Normally I'm no fan of head-shots, but this really shows details about a somewhat overlooked bird. Very nice image :toast: :toast:
