Hi folks,
I've been gone quite a bit lately and am getting caught up on some images from last year. This was shot in the White Mountains last October. The cones of the Bristle cone.
I hope you all are doing well and anticipating spring that appears to be coming on pretty quickly. There are some really nice images here lately!

Nicely composed shot. Strong subject and framing. Touch of snow adds a nice element.

Well it looks like this one is really dead Sweet comp, Jack. The gentle, twisting root curve compliments the cones, some fresh looking, some ancient looking. Much to see in this image. Very, very nice.

I like it a lot! Nicely composed and nice earthy tones. (Did you try this in B&W?) If I saw this hanging in a waiting room, I'd be staring at it the whole time.
spin it to horizontal and crop for common screen ratios and you've got a great desktop background.
Wonderful comp, Jack. Love the earth tone pallette and the small bit of snow in contrast. This is a good, creative approach to portraying the ancient bristlecone– refreshing to see and so appealing.
