I feel the Misses needs a Eizo colouredge monitor, anyone with experience of them?
Can't have her spending her hard earned money on dodgy stuff .
Or am I better off just getting a Mac cinema 23inch? Less colours etc. Can't go 30inch as her Macbook can't run it.
Hey Tim that's very thoughtful of you buying your other half such a good quality monitor.
Perhaps be best to use it on your computer and edit a few thousand shots first, just to check it's ok, of course
A stunning pheasant shot with wonderful detail and colours

Tim,
no idea about monitors and need to get some calibration sorted out (spyder or huey?).
However, that pheasant is excellent, particularly like the sharp contrast between the black and russet on the body, and the colours of the head are stunning, good pose, lovely BG.

Hi Tim
I have a Eizo ColorEdge CE210W and I can't fault it and it is very easy to calibrate and highly accurate as on all the Color Edge models they have their own calibration software (which I use with my Gretagmacbeth 'eyeone display') and profile is then stored in the monitor and not on your computer's graphic card. Suggest you also buy the hood especially when working in the evening with overhead lighting!
Hope this helps.
Cracking image by the way!

Hello Tim.
Stunning portrait of the pheasant, colours, detail, and the backgroud could'nt be better. Sorry not much use on the monitor front.

Your Pheasant looks great on this CE240W. Would I spend so much on a monitor again. Well it's about the same price as a decent telly and I spend more time looking at it so I guess the answer is yes. Fact is that if you hanker for the best then the most economic route is to go for it rather than buy something that you're going to have to change later.
Hi Tim, I also own an Eizo ColorEdge CE210W. I only wish I had purchased the CE24 series.
More height and larger size on portraits. Great color and resolution...I may eventually justify the larger monitor.
