Can anyone suggest any good locations for photographing ducks and geese in Michigan ? I am aware of Seney NWR in upper Michigan. Anything in mid to lower Michigan worth visitng ?
Hey Andrew - if you have a DeLorme Gazeteer get it out and look for the various state game areas, and state recreation areas as well. A couple thoughts I have, and I'm sure folks closer to the area can offer other suggetions:
Waterloo and Pinckney State Recreation Areas
Proud Lake, Island Lake and other State Recreation Areas
Maple River State Game Area
Yankee Springs State Recreation Area
Various state parks, including Warren Dunes, Grand Mere, etc along the Lake Michigan coast
I think with a Gazeteer and a little research you should be able to find a lot of state-owned lands to explore....
