So so close
40D, EF 20 - 35 @ 35mm, handheld.
ISO400, 1/2500 @ f8, -1/3EV
C1 v4, CS3 resize & sharpen.

Hi,

Some will recognise the location straight away, others will know that I have been after a similar image for some time... It was a privalege to be allowed this close to a wonderful bird... I did learn a lesson here and that is to check how much space is left on the card..... this is the second of two images before I filled the card....

I spent around 1/2 an hour watching before and after this image...

All the best

Phil

Good job you had enough for the 2 then Phil - I can't talk though, Thursday I was that engrossed running 8fps I thought the camera had packed up - it was thirty seconds at least before I cottoned on :frown: (I'm beyond redemption now mate!)

I'm not sure what kind of shot you were after, but if it excluded the fence it'd be a much lesser shot than this. Only downside on this one is the notice. but that's ppl for you.

Get a bigger card next time

This would be a great shot with a 500mm but with 35mm just incredible.
