Eastern Bluebird
It's almost spring! I've had the privelage to see a pair of these lovely birds lately. They are quite skittish and do not often let me get close. Hopefully, they will stick around a while and allow me to see them more often. Here's a shot of the male that I took yesterday after the rain/snow stopped.

Canon EOS 40D ,Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS USM
1/125s f/5.6 at 700.0mm iso400

Thanks for looking!

Hi Joe! Sweet shot of this handsome guy!! I hope you'll be able to get more shots of him. The BG is nice and clean and brings out the blue nicely. I suggest a bit of cropping would bring him closer. Good luck!!!

Joe. . .

Great shot! Nice color against a midtone background (How big is your gray card anyhow!). Bluebird being out does give us some hope for spring.

Very Nice :toast: That background sure makes the bird pop!

Saw a bluebird a few days ago and it was just a speck on the CF card. How did you get so close? Wonderful shot!
