Once again, this month's issue showcases some of the amazing talent we have here at NPN.
Our cover photo, captured by Pierre Nadeau of Quebec, Canada, shows a snowy owl bathed in gorgeous, warm evening light. This image was also a recent Editor's Pick. Congratulations, Pierre!
Arnab Banerjee pens our first article of the month, Appreciate Where You Live, where he gives some tips on finding and photographing locations close to home.
Amazing talent indeed - thanks to all for your contributions to NPN!

Just finished reading Christopher's article on Michigan's Lower Peninsula. Living in this great state, I can relate to and agree with what he said. Photographic opportunities abound everywhere and there are numerous state parks that are all well kept. Sleeping Bear Dunes NP with it's large dunes is one of my favorite places to visit and it also has some very nice national campgrounds within the park, along with heritage farms.
Good work, CJ!

After having just read Nathan Buck's article concerning photogrpahy in your own backyard I agree with his suggestions and plan to include more containers in my own backyard this growing season.
I came to gardening first after purchasing our home 13 years ago. Just in the last two years I have begun to try and capture the beauty I have enjoyed for so long, but I have soon realized it was not as easy as it looks, since almost all of my plantings were next to rocks, fences, poles or other obstructions. So, I thank Nathan for taking the time to explain his ideas/suggestions on how to "capture that perfect shot" with a nice bg and I am sure he will help others as well.

Christopher Jordan gives up the very best photographic locations in Michigan's Lower Peninsula.
With spring knocking at the door, Nathan Buck offers some tips on making your backyard a photo destination in, Landscaping for Flora.
And lastly, Guy Tal puts Microtek's new M1 Pro Scanner through the paces and offers his comprehensive review of the product.
Great job by all the above!
Good work, CJ!
