D2Xs + 600mm AFS II + 1.4 conv.
Crop Mode.
1/125 @ f6.3
ISO 320.
Adobe RGB.
WB Auto.
Tone Comp Less contrast.
Sharpening none.

The Brown Hare theme continues.
Spent the lst two days still trying to get that magical shot.
The wind has defiantely kept these lovely Mammals at bay.
When you only have the weekends and usually for me that is half day Saturday + Sunday it all becomes rather frustrating but I enjoyed myself never the less.

Top shot sir :toast: :toast:

I do so wish I could see some myself - there used to be a heck of a lot around here but certain people have run them all down with their lurchers :frown:

Sorry, but had to edit this as various phrases are deemed to be racist which we obviously cannot allow.

that's a very nice image, great eye contact and lighting. I also wish I knew some good nearby locations for hares. Unfortunately I rarely see them.

Another beauty! I know a place where hares hang out - they are often seen as I drive past, but I hadn't thought about trying to photograph them. All the hare shots shown recently make me think it would be worth it. Any tips on maximising the chances of an appearance eg best time of day/year etc, would be much appreciated!

I absolutely love this - at first glance it doesn't look as good as some of the other hare shots posted recently, but with a longer look I feel that this is one of the best. Super relaxed pose which is a bit different to the norm, and the detail and texture in that shaggy hair [note to self: check spelling!] is just brilliant.

The surrounding appears untidy, but I find I like this more than the usual 'bare field' setting that hare shots usually feature.

Love it.
