It's the same vole as Barrie's but traversing a fast dark part of the river, I've been looking for voles locally for quite some time and hope to be able to get something a little different from the norm.

D3 600mm 1/400@F4 ISO1600

Hi Colin,

I know i've already commented but I think this deserves another , this is exactly the shot i'm after and you've captured it extremely well , photographing Water voles when swimming through still water is hard enough but to capture one as sharp as this on a fast flowing river is a most excellent achievement , very well done Colin

Just one more thing , iso1600!!!  , that D3 really is a very special piece of kit , Nikon here I come
