MARCH FLORA THEME - BUDDING BEAUTY
Spring is right around the corner for most of us so the week of March 23-29 is officially Bud Week. And no shots of beer cans!

Not fair Bill. We're still 2 months from lowland flowers in Colorado. Mountain wildflowers are roughly 5 months out!

Yes the Southwest is already mindboggling in a few spots. Just brought back a barrel-full of closeups from work this last week in the Southern California deserts.

Somebody in town got caught growing buds in their basement last week. It was on the front page of the local newspaper. Not that I am recommending that you grow your own. Anyway, around here in the PNW it all comes down to elevation. We have plenty of both buds and snowballs.

Up here in the frozen north the only bud photos to capture in time for that period of March ARE Budweiser cans! Guess it's back to the archives, eh? Or maybe down to the greenhouse/nursery.
