Saturday Morning, I thought I would see others out for a pretty Sunrise in the Sangres. Rebecca, Duncan and I went out to scout the area some more. I found a lot of locations for fall colors and summer scenes as well. I just need to find some Wildflower spots in the Wets and Wet Valley areas. Any suggestions?

I like this composition very well James. There seems to be a small amount of difference in the contrast of the shadows that looks a little strange. May be nothing. I'm not sure.
As far a wildflowers in the Sangres or Wet mountains, I haven't seen any guidebooks that extend to cover that range. Seems you'd be likely to find some loco and evening primrose in that elevation in May and June. For the rest of the range, normal bloom seasons should apply. The Sangres don't collect as much snow on a regular basis as the San Juans, so I'd expect that the coverage is not as extensive in any year.

Nice stuff James.
Wow, the snow really did melt off a lot since we shot it last weekend. Imagine some of these new locations like the one above with a fresh blanket of snow. I really like the other tree shot as well on your website - third one up from the bottom.
Nice collection James! I dont know of any specific location in the Sangres/wets for flowers, its more low key than the rest of CO, but ive never been dissapointed, just got to scout around.

I really like this and think this would look awesome as a panoramic. Love the lone tree. I think you should return when you get some clouds and shoot a stitched pano.
