Nikon C-PL1L Drop-In Circular Polariser 52mm question?

Does any one use a Polariser when shooting with big glass? I would love to try it especially with in-flight shoots and those on or near the ocean but…

I don’t know if I could afford the loss of light, speed or stop (whatever you want to call it!). As this will be a 2-stop loss. The reason for asking is its near £180 and a bit expensive to try it only to find I won’t use it!

Many thanks,

Apparently this filter has been discontinued by Nikon. Fortunately I’ve found a supplier who has them in stock and I’m getting two of them with a discount too!
