Found On Road Dead
I pass this old truck daily when I'm at work and I finally decided to stop one day to make a photograph. I take my G9 damn near everywhere I go for just such a situation.

Lots of character.

I had a G6 that I used much the same way. I wish I hadn't sold it, as I don't take the DSLR with me everywhere like I did with the G6.

Really cool shot Bret! I love the rusty and worn colors on the ol’ Ford! Nice find.

Great photo, Bret! I just love these old vehicles with so much character and class - nothing generic about them back in those days. Such pleasing colors and a really nice capture....

Cheers...Gail.

Bet you could sell that as a print along Route 66!

Alternative: Fix Or Repair Daily. :-)
Great, Bret. Love it!

I wonder if anyone but Gabi "got" the title. Maybe she's the only one who mentioned it.

Very cool - the pic and the subtle reference. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with when you find a nice rusty Volkswagen mini bus on the side of the road.

I suppose the G9 is a good thing, given your line of work. The 1Ds would be a dead give-away that you were slacking off and taking pictures while on patrol. I really like the shot. It tells the story well.

I was actually anticipating the image when I read the title, before I clicked to read... Solid capture - love the colors and patterns on this old heap.

Gabi - I think this one's beyond "Fix Or Repair Daily".

Marc: There have been more than a few sunrises while on patrol that have tempted me to run home and grab the 1Ds. I'm sure one day I'll cave in and head down Kane Creek early one morning when (hopefully) no one is around.

That's a great shot..for even a ford

I wonder how many colors of paint are it?

Excellent shot!
